Study title: The effectiveness of retrieval practice as a learning strategy for students with ADHD

You are being invited to take part in a research study. Please read the following information carefully as it is important that you understand what the aim of the study is and what will be involved in the research process.

What is the purpose of the study? The purpose of this study is to discover if the learning strategy, retrieval practice, is an effective learning strategy for students with or without ADHD and can help reduce mind wandering while learning new information.

Why have I been chosen? You have been chosen as your participation is vital for retrieving effective results, that could potentially improve learning for students with or without ADHD.

Do I have to take part? No, and participants are free to drop out at any point during the study if they wish to do so, however once you have completed the test, you can not withdraw as your result will become anonymous and difficult to retrieve.

Will my taking part in this study be kept confidential? Yes, all participants will have their names coded into numbers for data analysis to maintain anonymity.

What will happen to the results of the research study? The results will be analysed and kept in a password protected database within the University in case of replication studies.
